(Studio) Over 30 persons killed following Arab guerrilla attack at Rome airport.
REPORTER: Walter Cronkite

(Rome, Italy) Palestinian guerrillas opened fire inside airport terminal, seizing hostages. Guerrillas fire bomb Pan American plane. [Pan American 1st officer Robert DAVISON(Davidson on screen) - explains terrorist bombing.] Palestinian terrorists then hijack West German airliner to Athens, Greece. Remains of Pan American passengers removed hrs. after bombing. Palestinians seem to warn world against upcoming Mid. E. peace conference

(Studio) 1 American killed in crossfire between terrorists and police. 28 dead on Pan American jet containing unnumbered Americans; 4 Moroccan officials also killed.

(Athens, Greece) In Athens, guerrillas execute 3 or 4 hostages. Terrorists' demands outlined. Greek sharpshooters destroy tires on plane at day's end; guerrillas threaten to blow up plane.
