(Studio) Federal judge in Florida rules private religious schools can't use religious beliefs as defense for excluding blacks.

(Miami, Florida) Suit brought in 1973 by black against Dade Christian School. Johnny Brown's daughters not allowed to attend all-white school. Judge Joe Eaton's ruling detailed. [Brown's attorney Ellis RUBIN - thinks judge's decision puts to rest last vestige of quasi-legal segregation.] [BROWN - still wants children to attend school even after lawsuit.] School to appeal ruling.
