(Studio) American Chester Bitterman said found shot to death in Bogota, Colombia.

(Lancaster, Pennsylvania) Bitterman said seized as hostage of guerrilla group M-19. Group's seizure of Dominican Republic embassy in Bogota, Colombia, recalled. Captors' demands that Summer Institution of Linguistics, a missionary group that employed Bitterman, be forced to leave Colombia noted. [Wycliffe Bible Translators director Bernie MAY - says organization is not affiliated with CIA and that Bitterman was not a spy; says group provides written languages for people whose only languages are oral.] [Father Chester BITTERMAN, Junior - comments with regard to son's death.] Reagan administration reaction to death noted.
