(Livingston, LA) Current status of emergency examined; films shown. EPA's efforts to monitor pollution of air and water noted. [EPA spokesperson Frank GORRY - notes seriousness of situation.] [Resident Janet SEVERITO - is concerned over health problems arising from breathing chemicals.] National Trans. Safety Bd. efforts to determine cause of derailment discussed; Illinois Central said ordered several mos. ago to repair segment of track on which derailment occurred. [LA railroad inspector Rob HEREERT - comments.] Governor David Treen's pledge to launch campaign to stop such accidents plaguing his state noted.
