(Montgomery, Alabama) Incident here February 27, 1983, involving 2 white police officers' forcible entry into Willie Taylor's home where large number of Taylor's family were mourning dead relative reported ;-police said claiming to have been beaten and shot. Black community's support for black prisoners, include claims that police beat and tortured them, examined. [State representative Alvin HOLMES - describes treatment of prisoners.] Mayor Emory Folmar's response to allegations against police noted. [HOLMES - thinks police mentality now is worse than during 1960s.] Justice Department said ordering FBI investigation of police brutality and civil rights violations chgs.; police department's history of conflict with black community mentioned.
