| Abstract: | NBC anchor Edwin Newman announces that Sally Harmony, Robert Reisner and Hugh W. Sloan, Jr. will be the day's witnesses. Reporters Douglas Kiker and Carl Stern report from outside the Old Senate Office Building indicating that the Watergate investigating Committee will reject a request by Special Prosecutor Archibald Cox to postpone the hearings for 90 days.Commercials are aired. Products are Betty Crocker Potato Buds, General Mills Cheddar Taters, Johnson's Klean and Shine.Commentary by Reporters Carl Levin and Douglas Kiker. Senator Montoya remarks that the hearings will go on as scheduled and not be delayed. Brief remark by Chief Counsel Sam Dash.Senator Ervin calls the committee to order. |
