Abstract:	PBS special re: the Democratic party in the second half of the twentieth century. Examines the administrations of John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson and Jimmy Carter and the campaigns of George Wallace, Eugene McCarthy, Robert Kennedy, Hubert Humphrey, Ted Kennedy, Jesse Jackson, Walter Mondale and Michael Dukakis. Includes anaylsis re: Dukakis' chances in the 1988 presidential race. Participants include Gary Hart, George McGovern, Tom Hayden, Eugene McCarthy, Tom Hayden, Jeane Kirkpatrick, Lane Kirkland, Geraldine Ferraro, Paul Kirk, Charles Robb and Michael Dukakis.
