Abstract:Press conference as President Bush prepares to leave California after a day of touring areas devastated by the earthquake. Governor Deukmejian, Senator Pete Wilson, and Representative Norman Mineta, all representatives of the State of California, thank the President for his visit and pledge of assistance. President Bush speaks of his feelings throughout the day, and answers questions from reporters about the extent of the damage. Transportationj Secretary Skinner answers a reporters question about reconstruction costs. President Bush discussed his pride and confidence in FEMA and his willingness to have help. "I am going to do what is necessary for the Federal government to fulfill its obligation."- President Bush
