(DC: Dennis Troute) Independent cnsl. Whitney North Seymour reported investigating allegations that former chief of staff Michael Deaver perjured self before Congress in its investigation of his possible violation of ethics in government law; details given, scenes shown. Deaver's testimony regarding his contacts with ambs. Richard Burt and Mike Mansfield said contradicted by the ambs.; cable from Secretary of State George Shultz noted advising Mansfield not to become involved in Deaver's lobbying efforts. [Representative Ron WYDEN - comments.] Seymour said also investigating possible illegal lobbying of other members of Deaver's firm.
