[WOMAN, kayaker Alan BRADY†– comment on their encounters.] [Marine biologist Monica DEANGELIS†- says they’re following food.] [Aquarium of the Pacific whale biologist Kera MATHES†- notes being close to an 80,000-pound whale poses a danger to surfers and kayakers.] [Coast Guard Capt. Roger LaFERRIERE†- states moving shipping lanes would decrease the risk to the whales.]
