(DC: Bob Zelnick) West German arms sales to Iran, despite government's official policy to the contrary, examined; details given, scenes shown. Sales of partially government-owned Messerschmitt Boelkow-Blohm company, MBB, cited as example MBB's overtures to Iranian parliament speaker Hashemi Rafsanjani and arms dealer Mohamadali Hashemi, owner of Tagell Limited, described. [HASHEMI - expects commission promised by MBB; notes amount involved.] Israel's apparent similar duplicity detailed; Israeli government approval for arms sales to Iran through Israeli arms company Olitor Incorporated and Bank Hapoalim said necessary. Hashemi's defense of President Reagan's covert arms sales to Iran noted.
