(California: Gary Shepard) Confirmation that California hospital gave AIDS-infected blood in transfusion to premature babies reported Death of Sammy Kushnick from AIDS described; home film and photos courtesy of "20/20" shown. Baby noted given blood at Cedars-Sinai Med. Center in Los Angeles, California. [Cedars- Sinai hospital Dr. Thomas MUNDY - discusses testing babies for AIDS virus who received transfusions.] Issue of blood transfusions in Kushnick case detailed. [Parent Gerrold KUSHNICK - says hospital knew blood came from man dying of AIDS and never told family.] Hospital's response given. [MUNDY - says didn't know of disease's existence at that time.] Final test results for other premature babies given blood noted not available for 7 mos.
