(DC: Brit Hume) Senator Select Committee investigating Iran arms scandal reported granting Admiral John Poindexter immunity from prosecution in move to force his testimony; delay in granting immunity recalled at request of independent cnsl. Lawrence Walsh. Details given, scenes shown. [Senator Howell HEFLIN - cites focus of questioning for Poindexter.] Committee said also seeking independent medical verification that former CIA director William Casey is too ill to testify. [Senator Orrin HATCH - notes committee 's success with inquiry so far.] Importance of testimony given by Albert Hakim, associate of General Richard Secord (ret.), in light of Secord's refusal to testify noted.
