Well, tonight, a humanitarian emergency is breaking out in Syria for five and a half years now. The Assad regime has waged war on its own people who had risen in rebellion. Tonight, the dictatorship is on the verge of retaking the country's largest city, Aleppo. The portion held by rebels has shrunk considerably.
