(Studio) Federal advisory group study shows federal standards adequately protect atomic workers and public from radiation hazards.

(Rulison Test Site, Colorado) Disagreement over danger of underground gas trapped by nuclear explosions. [AEC. Spokesperson Dean THORNBROUGH - can only get gas out by nuclear explosions.] [Geologist David EVANS - takes 13,000 nuclear blasts to get all gas out.] [THORNBROUGH - proceeding cautiously; not get out of hand.] [EVANS - are we running risk of contamination eventually threatening to man?] Atomic Energy Commission admits financial successful project must have 100's or 1000's of blasts.
