A CNN global town hall hosted by Don Lemon and Dr. Sanjay Gupta about the reluctance of black Americans to get the coronavirus vaccine due to the historical roots of US medicine's treatment of black people in the long-running Tuskegee syphilis experiment and the need to educate about the vaccine's safety and effectiveness for all people with minority communities especially vulnerable to the disease. First guest New York critical care nurse Sandra Lindsay, a black woman who was one of the first to receive the vaccine, spoke about her experience. Medical experts Surgeon General Dr. Jerome Adams and National Inst. Allergy and Infectious Diseases director Dr. Anthony Fauci reviewed the data and answered wide-ranging questions about the vaccine especially in hesitant minority communities.
