(Studio: Peter Jennings) Statement from PLO (Palestine Liberation Organization) condemning all military attacks on civilian targets following United States demand that PLO denounce raid on Israeli beach last month reported. Israeli deputy foreign minister Benjamin Netanyahu reported stating that he met last month with PLO (Palestine Liberation Organization) leader Yasir Arafat; denial of such meeting by Israel noted. Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir noted winning vote of confidence in parliament for his new right-wing government; details given of likelihood that new government will be more reluctant to negotiate with Palestinians about the future of the Israeli-occupied territories of West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
