Speaking of elections, Iraq's election body is rejecting the suggestion to adjust the results of next month's vote to benefit the Sunni minority. The US is worried the low turnout could give Shiites an exaggerated majority in the new assembly and threaten the stability of Iraq. A New York Times report said that Sunnis might be granted extra seats if the communities vote was judged to have been too low. But that idea was flatly rejected by members of an Iraqi election commission....
