(Baidoa: Don Kladstrup) Arrival of the United States Marines in the "city of death," Baidoa, Somalia, featured; scenes shown of the troops with Somali kids. [Irish Concern Michael O'REILLY, International Medical Corps Josie CLEVENGER, three MARINES - comment.]

(Studio: Peter Jennings) The gunmen who fled Baidoa said perhaps now in Bardera, Somalia.

(Mogadishu: Linda Pattillo) A visit to one of the feeding centers in Mogadishu that was started by a Somali woman featured; scenes shown from a feeding program run entirely by women. [Dahabo ISSE - comments.]

(Studio: Peter Jennings) United Nations noted now able to fly in its own trucks to distribute food.
