(Tel Aviv: Dean Reynolds) Expulsion by Israel of almost 400 Palestinians, who were Moslem militants, to nearby Lebanon featured; scenes shown from the border. [Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak RABIN - comments.] Positions of the Israeli army, the justice minister, the supreme court and human right workers on the deportation noted. [Palestinian journalist Radwan ABU AYASH - says this will affect the peace process.]

(Studio: Peter Jennings) Meeting of President Bush with delegates to the Middle East peace negotiations reported. Statement from the PLO (Palestine Liberation Organization) that Palestinians will not return to the talks until those expelled can go home noted.
