(Studio) Senator Barry Goldwater campaigns for Senate seat.

(Arizona) Goldwater popular figure. Campaign well-financed. Democrat Roy Elson is opponent; protege of retiring Carl Hayden. Elson courts labor vote but isn't well known. Goldwater calls for law and order and victory in Vietnam. [GOLDWATER - feels war could be over in 2 mos. if followed proper targeting.] [ELSON - says must achieve honorable peace with discriminate mil. force and continued negotiations.] [GOLDWATER - says Nixon will try to win war with failure of peace talks. Would extend bombing.] Goldwater victory expected.

(Studio) Senator Paul Fannin doesn't run for reelection this year
