(Convention Hall) Disunity, disagreement and dissension exists among Democrats reported. Czech leaders and Soviet leaders reached agreement. Movement to draft Senator Edward Kennedy reported, but Kennedy asks that he not be nominated. He talked with ex-govenor of Ohio, Michael DiSalle and DiSalle. Respects Senator's wishes.

(Convention Hall) Mayor Richard Daley and California delegate, Jesse Unruh, say not involved in draft - Kennedy drive. Daley and Unruh meet. Illinois delegation leader Daley says he won't tell who he's for until Weds. Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey front-runner. ABC projection for 1st ballot on Weds.: 1,228 for Humphrey; 690 for McCarthy; 116 for McGovern, and 588 for others. 1,312 needed to win. Humphrey speaks to Ohio and Missouri groups and labor leaders
