(Pentagon: John McWethy) United States daylight air raid on Iraq featured; map shown of mobile missile and fixed radar sites in the southern "no-fly" zone. [F-15E PILOT - comments on the mission.] Destruction of Iraqi warplanes in both no-fly zones mentioned; scenes shown from last night's anti-aircraft fire aimed at the incoming cruise missiles and of the weapons facility that was targeted. [President BUSH - says we did the right thing.] Iraqi President Saddam Hussein noted not intending to give in, although knowing that the attacks would stop if he would allow United Nations weapons inspectors full access to the country. Possibility that this series of attacks could backlash on President-elect Bill Clinton's administration discussed.

(Baghdad: Jim Laurie) Response in Baghdad to yesterday's cruise missile attack examined; night sky scenes and the damages from the explosion at the Rashid Hotel shown. [At the hotel, Iraqi information MINISTER - calls the attack an act of terror.]
