(Studio) Mayor Richard Daley says police precautions necessary because some planned to assassinate Senators Eugene McCarthy and George McGovern, Vice President Humphrey and Daley.

(Chicago, Illinois) Last night, National Guard stops march by 3,000 from downtown to International Amphitheatre. Barriers set up. Tear gas used. 150 arrested; 9 were delegates or alts.

(Studio) Today, after smoked fish and empty beer cans fall out of Conrad Hilton Hotel onto Guard, police break into 15th floor suite, headquarters for McCarthy. McCarthy spokesperson say people clubbed, chased and forced down to lobby.
