(Washington: John Martin) Exxon Corp.'s request for Maritime Administration subsidies granted to United States firms competing for international business examined; scenes shown of the oil spill in Alaska from the Exxon Valdez five years ago. [Former Maritime commissioner Rob QUARTEL, Senator Charles GRASSLEY - offer differing opinions on such subsidies.] The irony that Congress may grant a subsidy to the now renamed Exxon Valdez, which has been banned from American waters, noted.
