(Miami Beach, Florida) When Lindsay told convention something had to be done re: welfare, he was applauded. He and convention meant 2 different things. 26 nonwhite delegates and 57 non-white alts. here of 2,666. 2 non-whites of 103 platform committee Few black faces, beards or long hair here. Artist Gerald Scarf unsure whom to draw 1st. Delegates not bad people, but running nearly all-white political party in 1968.
