(Studio: Peter Jennings) The global reach of the Japanese religions sect Aum Shinrikyo reported.

(Tokyo: Mark Litke) Japan's investigation of the poison gas attack on Tokyo's subway system featured; scenes shown of police swarming over the sect's commune and removing bags and barrels of chemicals from warehouses. [Chemical and Biological Control Institution Kyle OLSON - says the evidence suggests nerve gas production.] The search for sect founder Shoko Asahara, who has been broadcasting his innocence by radio from Russia, noted.
