(Studio: Peter Jennings) President Clinton said sending a taped message to Israeli television in which he called on PLO (Palestine Liberation Organization) leader Yasir Arafat to stop the terrorist campaign.

(Tel Aviv: Bill Redeker) The response of the Israeli army following the recent spate of terrorist bombings featured; scenes shown from the West Bank, where the families of suicide bombing suspects were evicted from their homes. [ARAFAT - says the army actions are against the peace plan.] The question of who, if anyone, is in control of Hamas, noted. [Hamas spokesman Mahmoud al-ZAHAR - demands that military actions against Israeli targets be stopped.] [Bir Zeit University Zayad ABU AMER - says there are internal problems in Hamas.] The mourning of grief-stricken Israelis shown.
