(Studio: Forrest Sawyer) Northwestern University professor David Protess, whose investigation with three journalism students into an Illinois murder case led to the freeing of four men wrongly convicted, profiled. [PROTESS - explains how simple it really was to find the truth.] The case growing out of the 1978 murders of Carol Schmal and Lawrence Lionberg that was just solved using research and DNA test results outlined. [Recently released Kenny ADAMS - journalism graduate Stacey DELO, Cook County states attorney Jack O'MALLEY, Death Penalty Information Center Richard DIETER - talk about the judicial system.] Home video shown of the four newly freed men celebrating.
