(Studio) United States Naval Academy tradition threatened by nomination of 2 women. Senator Jacob Javits noms. 2nd candidate, Barbara Jo Brimmer.

(DC) Miss Brimmer comes from a Navy family. [Miss BRIMMER - feels its her right to be able to attend Academy.] Naval Academy argues its function is to prepare men for combat duty, which is precluded by law for women. [Midshipmen interviewed agree with admittance of coed.]
