(Studio) Democrat caucus in Iowa held under reform rules to give voters, at precinct level, larger role in determining ptys. Presidential candidate. Select Iowa delegates to Democratic Convention

(Altoona, Iowa) 15% precincts postponed voting due to bad weather. Senator Edmund Muskie slowed, but was leader by 35% (more delegates showed no preference). Senator George McGovern strong 3rd with 23%. (Des Moines, Ia.) [McGovern Campaign Mgr., Gary HART - says Muskie is still vulnerable and Democratic candidate will not be certain until primaries.]
