(Studio) Armed black couple with infant hijack Pacific Southwest 727 jetliner, en route from San Francisco to Los Angeles, to Cuba. 130 passengers ordered off in Los Angeles.

(Tampa, Florida) 727 made 2nd. landing at Tampa to refuel. Hijackers wanted to go to Africa, but authorities convinced them 727 couldn't make long flight. [FBI agent, Joseph SANTOIANA - describes grim mood of hijacker, 9 hostages, as reason no agents attempted to board.] Plane flew to Cuba where hijackers disembarked, returned to Miami.
