(Studio) In Hawaii, Vice Presidential candidate, Spiro Agnew answers charges of using racial slurs against Japanese and Polish. Representative Spark Matsunaga made charges after story appeared in which Agnew called reporter "fat Jap".

(Maui, Hawaii) Agnew greets crowd. He attends luau luncheon. [AGNEW - says won't apologize for spirit in which remark made. Apologizes to any who read insult to their Japanese or Polish ancestry.] Agnew displaying political naivete, which will cost votes.
