(Studio) New York Police Department involved in major scandal concerning drugs.

(NYC) Earlier this week New York police Commissioner reveals heroin from "French Connection" case stolen from police vault. [Commissioner Pat. MURPHY - says it's worst instance of corruption he's uncovered.] Not only heroin and other drugs, but jewelry, money and weapons, all evidence in criminal cases, missing from police property office. Stolen goods sold to underworld. Security so lax at property office that anyone posing as policeman could check out anything. Stealing not confined to handfull of policemen; involves many.
