(Studio) President-elect Richard Nixon says he and President Johnson will consult before any major foreign policy decision made in next 2 mos.

(DC) Nixon names Robert Murphy as foreign policy advisor to State Department [MURPHY - gratified to have opportunity.] [NIXON - says no plans now to send anyone to Paris or Saigon. His representative should be in DC. Essential to have prior consultation before any major decisions made, especially decisions that'll carry over in next administration No veto power. Trying to work out relations where United States will speak with 1 voice for 60 days. Can't afford not to.]
