(Studio) Copter crashes near Los Angeles.
REPORTER: Walter Cronkite

(Compton, California) Los Angeles Airways Flight 417 bound for Disneyland. Copter fell apart in mid-air. 18 passengers and 3 crew killed. No survivors. [EYEWITNESS - describes crash and trying to get 1 man out.] Another Airways helicopter crashed 3 mos. ago on same rte., but 2 mile away. 23 killed in that accident. Airways suspends flights and awaits for FAA investigative team.
