(Studio) Both Humphrey and Senator Eugene McCarthy back insurgent Mississippi delegation.

(Chicago, Illinois) 1/5 convention delegates from 13 states being challenged. Equal Rights committee rules the old-line Mississippi group shouldn't be seated as is. Credentials Committee heard evidence anyway. [Reg. Mississippi Delegation (SIC) Hodding CARTER III - says they'll continue to work for national party Asks national convention not to penalize its friends and reward its enemies.] [Insurgent Democrats spokesperson Charles EVERS - says those who oppose us have defied school law, fellow judges and all American stands for. Give us a chance.] [Reg. SPOKESPERSON - says opponents' generalizations ask National Democratic Party to engage in reverse discrimination.] Other contests not so easy to decide. McCarthy group may carry some of these fights to convention floor.
