(Studio) Car caravan carrying 400 Americans crossed into West Germany from Czechoslovakia. Shirley Temple Black was 1 of passengers; there in connection with multiple sclerosis work. Special train to take more Americans and foreigners to Vienna, Austria. Of 3,000 Americans there, none reported hurt.

(Czechoslovakia - West German Border) Some of border police replaced by Army troops. They allow westerners & Czechs with valid passports to leave and to keep western journalists out. Crowds gather at border to stare into Czechoslovakia. (WITNESS - describes invasion and seeing Army fire into crowd.] Soviets out of sight of West German border and Am. 7th Army. Cold War has new lease on life.
