(Studio) President Johnson at American Legion conv., says no 1 can predict when American troops will leave Vietnam.

(New Orleans, Louisiana) Johnson says United States won't invade North Vietnam, won't pull out and is left with alternate of continuing bombing. [JOHNSON - says best thing we can do is to bring planes to bear in panhandle across line against enemy. No 1 can predict when men can come home. We're there to bring honorable and stable peace to S.E. Asia and no less will justify sacrifices men died for.] Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey learning that Vietnam predictions can be dangerous.
