(South Vietnam) 8,200 troops involved in largest amphibious assault since Korean War. Troops come in copters and storm beaches by boats. [OFFICER - suspect Communists using beach for resupply; important point of Viet Cong operation. Plan to establish cordon to take over area; strongly manned with VC.] Area scene of other battles.
