(Studio) Republican Senators pressure President Nixon to withdraw Clement Haynsworth's nomination to Supreme Court Senator Edward Brooke tells Pres Nixon he and others must choose between principles and sense of duty.

(DC) Republican Whip Robert Griffin advised President to drop nomination. [BROOKE - says Judge's treatment of Civil Rights issues not in keeping with movement of equal justice for all. That and his business dealings raise questions. Large number oppose his appointed] Senator Birch Bayh wants to study Judge's business record. Senator Strom Thurmond calls for 1 week vote postponement.
