(Studio) President Nixon and members of Senate Foreign Relations Committee clash over American involvement in Laos.

(DC) Secretary of State William Rogers finds Committee upset over reports of US supporting anti-Communist force in Laos. [ROGERS - says no ground forces in Laos. President Kennedy started what's going on there. Hope situation to improve. Will look into records as to Cong being informed during other admins.] [Senator FULBRIGHT - says never knew it was so extensive an operation.] Recent visit of P.Min. Souvanna Phouma may have deepened US involvement.
