(DC) Republican Chairperson Rogers Morton saw "silent major" endorsing President Nixon. [MORTON - cites Nixon's courage in helping with campaigns. His Vietnam speech helped.] [Democrat Chairperson Senator Fred HARRIS - says disappointed with Republican victories in Virginia and New Jersey.] If he wins, it's national trend; if he loses, it's local difficulty.
