(Studio) Senator Judiciary Committee refuses to subpoena White House aide Peter Flanigan to ITT (International Telephone and Telegraph Corporation) hearings, which block Kleindienst's confirmation as Attorney General President Nixon invokes executive privilege to keep his aides from testifying.

(Capitol Hill) White House involvement in ITT (International Telephone and Telegraph Corporation) case still at issue in Senate hearings. [Senator John TUNNEY - says Kleindienst's non. is jeopardized if Flanigan does not appear.] [KLEINDIENST - hopes hearings end soon.] Senator San Ervin will try to block nomination unless White House witnesses testify.
