(Studio) Charlie Chaplin, film world great, returns to United States for 1st time in 20 years He will be honored at NYC's Lincoln Center, and will receive special Academy Award in Hollywood, California.

(NYC) Chaplin's arrival shown. Clips from 1914 films shown. Chaplin's patriotism during World War II forgotten when, in later years, he expressed sympathy for Russia. His visa was revoked and he could not return to US. Now United States thanks misunderstood man who only wanted peace.
