(NYC) Considered best American qtrback. [NAMATH - says has no choice.] Because of reported gamblers seen at his partly owned Manhattan restaurant-bar, Commissioner's office told him to sell or face suspension. [NFL-AFL Commissioner Pete ROZELLE - says association with known undesirables gives appearance of evil, and reflects on reputation of players and integrity of sport. No evidence Namath involved in illegal activities in Bachelors III. Hope he complies with directive.] [NAMATH - says, tearfully, that he won't sell and will quit.]
