(Studio) 100 North Vietnam soldiers in Kontum, South Vietnam, offer to surrender. American adviser John Paul Vann reports from Pleiku that North Vietnam offer made by breaking into South Vietnam radio frequency. Most Communist forces in Kontum pull back to rearm for another assault.

(Hue, South Vietnam) 1 of few American ground combat units left in Vietnam, operates Southwest of Hue. Men from 196th Light Infantry Bde. patrol area. Enemies mainly heat, boredom, and only incidentally, enemy soldiers. Brush blasted to stir up enemy activity.
