(Studio) Scientist says dogs, smoking under lab conditions, developed lung cancer; 1st direct cause-effect link. Filter tips did not produce cancer, but had other respiratory diseases. Tobacco industry says meaningful conclusions couldn't be drawn between humans and laboratory dogs. Agriculture Secretary Clifford M. Hardin says department will continue to bar consumption of chickens infected by cancer virus.
