(Studio) political convention center at Miami Beach, Florida, to be equipped with new door locks to help assure security during Democrat and Republican mtgs. Miami Beach City Cnsl. vote against establishing campsites for demonstrators expected at convs.

(Miami, Florida) Largest contingent of nondelegates at convention expected to be yippies (Youth International Party), zippies, and hippies led by Jerry Rubin, Abbie Hoffman of Chicago `68 fame. [Zippie Patrick SMALL - says "Che Day" (Che Guevarra) had been called off, but may be rescheduled if nondelegates aren't considered.] [John WALSH - doesn't want nondelegates to be given anything; they should pay like everyone else.] Miami Beach City manager Clifford O'Key recommends against campsites on Miami Beach, noting city of Miami and county would establish such sites for nondelegates. His motion carries. Small flings meat pie at Cnslman Harold Rosen; Rosen knocks zippie to floor.
