(Da Nang, South Vietnam) Delta Company about to return home. [SP/4 Grady HUMPHRIES - says you'll miss buddies after you're gone; wouldn't give 5 cents for Vietnam.] Company protects Danang from Communist infiltration before and after election. [SOLDIER - points out booby trap.] [E/4 Wayne Van GORDEN - says worked with Vietnam platoon once. They have manpower; no reason for Americans to be here.] Men constantly on patrol. Men say Commander Vardell Nesmith pushes them too hard. [Captain NESMITH - says he's protecting men against laxity; drives them hard. They don't appreciate it.] North Vietnam hasn't infiltrated.
